Job Title: Local Sales Manager/Project Developer
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Support region sales Organization to increase business volume and customer intimacy within the Energy, Oil and Gas customers specifically in the power generation business.
- Conduct market, competitor and customer analyses for Gas turbines, steam turbines and solutions development and tactical sales.
- Coordinates with the Region Sales Manager to prepare commercial and technical budgetary proposals and represent the company in meetings with customers.
- Provide quotation/tenders and conduct contract negotiations, including systematic documentation and communication of the negotiation results, to ensure achievement of the planned volume of new orders in line with the stipulated positive margin taking both technical and commercial requirements into account.
- Ensures that customer queries are dealt with professionally and timelessly and advice customers where applicable.
- Timely and complete provision of the requisite inputs for processing proposals as well as conducting the Limit of Authority for all binding proposal quality that entails minimum risks.
- Demonstrates understanding of sales and marketing principle and recent legal developments that could affect the job at hand.
- Availability to short but frequent business trips within West Africa and Europe.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years demonstrable strong technical knowledge of turbo machinery application is preferred but not mandatory
- Must possess good sales, marketing and leadership skills.
- Must have extensive knowledge of Oil and Gas markets and power generation, transmission and distribution applications.
- Must be pro-active, with a visible thirst for success.
- Must be dynamic with a pleasant team work personality
- Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office packages
- A first degree in Engineering or its equivalent, a MBA is a plus
- Complementary studies in business administration or marketing will be an added advantage.
