An NGO working on security and justice sector reforms and social development with offices in Nigeria and projects in Nigeria and other African countries is looking for innovative and result oriented personnel in the following areas:


CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

ROLE
The suitable person will provide psycho-social counseling including trauma counseling to torture victims, prisoners, ex-prisoners, youth-at-risks and their families.

QUALIFICATION
A degree in Psychology with qualifications in Clinical, medical or social psychology. A Minimum of 3 years post graduation with practical experience working with the target group will be an advantage.

SENIOR FINANCE & ADMIN OFFICER

ROLE
The Senior Finance and Admin Officer will be responsible will serve an internal audit monitoring role. This includes but not limited to development and management of the organization’s investment portfolios, ability to prepare monthly financial reports including monthly/ annual budgets and forecast for Executive Director/ management! board / trustees, The person will oversee/supervise the financial transactions of all organization’s offices and projects.

TASK DESCRIPTION:
•Financial administration: Be responsible for financial record keeping and administration
•Prepare monthly financial reports for the ED, Trustees and founders on income, expenditure, and any variations from budgets.
•Be responsible for researching and helping put in place additional policies and procedures as needed
•Be responsible for annual financial reports Maintain records to meet legal and tax requirements.
•Be responsible for maintaining, and developing where necessary, the administration of office systems and policies
•Be responsible for dealing with day to day IT queries and some technical requests (liaising with appropriate support services where necessary to do so)
•Organise team meetings, circulate agendas and take and circulate minute.

QUALIFICATION:
A first degree in Accounting, Financial Management and other related fields is required. ICAN certification with at least 5 years practical experience managing NGO accounts.

COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

ROLE
The Communications Officer will support the implementation of the organization’s communication strategy which involves proactive media engagement and managing external communication via newsletter. journals and all other publications. The role also requires the development of qualitative audio-visual and other information education and communication materials.

TASK DESCRIPTION:
•Managing external communication from the offices including enhancing the organizations communication strategy.
•Collating and rewriting technical and official documents in a media friendly and innovative manner

•Identifying multimedia opportunities and contributing to social media outputs to highlight the organizations work. Identifying and facilitating key media slots for management and board to articulate the organizations messages.
•Developing and maintaining contact with key journalists on the organizations thematic areas.
•Coordinating and supervising press conferences, media briefings and interviews.
•Drafting statements, press releases, briefing papers, speeches and other materials to ensure that the organizations values are communicated consistency and coherently.
•Contributing to the content of the organizations website by providing text, photographs and audio- visual materials.
•Develop all organizational graphic content for newsletters and all other publications.
•Manage the organization printing concerns.

QUALIFICATION
Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in communications. journalism, graphic design and any other related field. At least 3 years post qualification with cognate experience in a media organization.

HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

ROLE
The Human Resource Officer is responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counseling across the offices.

TASK DESCRIPTION:
•Providing support to supervisors and staff to develop skills and capabilities of staff. Monitoring Staff performance and attendance to work
•Coordinating staff recruitment and selection process. Provision of information and assistance to staff, supervisor and management on human resource and work related issues

QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in the arts or social sciences. Certification in Human Resources Management with at least 3 years post practical experience managing HR.

ACCOUNT OFFICER

ROLE
He/she will monitor the daily financial transaction of the office including maintenance of a petty cash system.

TASK DESCRIPTION:
•Be responsible for tracking petty cash, keeping appropriate records, and maintaining bank records, perform bank reconciliations, and deal with the bank on all financial matters.

QUALIFICATION:
OND/HND/BSc Accounting and any other related subjects. At least 3 years working with non profit accounts.

EXTERNAL AUDITOR

QUALIFICATION:
A Certified Audit firm with experience in managing non-profit accounts. At least 10 years experience required.
