American International University West Africa – Positions exist for outstanding Academic and Non Academic Staff in the College of Management and Information Technology of the American International University, West Africa, The Gambia Campus.

The Positions are as follows:

1.) DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

A.) SENIOR LECTURER/PROFESSOR IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate will have at least 10 – 20 years teaching experience in a reputable university.
Candidate must have PhD in a relevant discipline.
Experience in and familiarity with American educational curricula is an advantage but not a prerequisite.

B.) LECTURERS 1 AND 2 IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of MSc or its equivalent in the relevant subjects and must have at least 5 years teaching experience in a reputable university.

C.) ASSISTANCE LECTURER IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate will have a minimum of MSc or its equivalent in the relevant subjects and must have at least 2 years teaching experience.

2.) COLLEGE LIBRARIAN
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate will have a minimum of BSc in library science or any other related discipline from a reputable university and at least 2 years relevant work experience in a similar position.
Candidate from West African Countries will be considered ahead of others.

3.) COLLEGE SECRETARIES
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate will have a minimum of BSc or equivalent in secretariat studies from reputable universities and at least 2 years relevant work experience in similar positions.
Candidates from West African Countries will be considered ahead of others.

4.)DEPARTMENT OF PHILOSOPHY, POLITICS AND ECONOMICS

A.) SENIOR LECTURER/PROFESSOR IN PHILOSOPHY, POLITICS AND ECONOMICS
REQUIREMENTS 
Candidate will have at least 10 – 20 years teaching experience in a reputable university.
Candidate must have PhD in a relevant discipline.
Experience in and familiarity with American educational curricula is an advantage but not prerequisite.

B.) LECTURERS 1 AND 2 IN PHILOSOPHY, POLITICS AND ECONOMICS
REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of MSc or its equivalent in the relevant subjects and must have at least 5 years teaching experience in a reputable university

C.) ASSISTANT LECTURER IN PHILOSOPHY, POLITICS AND ECONOMICS
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate will have a minimum of MSc or equivalent in the relevant subjects and must have at least 2 years teaching experience.

5.) DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE

A.) SENIOR LECTURER/PROFESSOR IN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate will have at least 10 – 20 years teaching experience in a reputable university. Candidate must have PhD in a relevant discipline. Membership of an accounting professional body such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, ACA etc is required. Experience in and familiarity with American educational curricula is an advantage but not prerequisite.

B.) LECTURERS 1 AND 2 IN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE
REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of MSc or its equivalent in the relevant subjects and must have at least 5 years teaching experience in a reputable university. Possession of a professional certificate from a recognized professional body such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, ACA etc is required.

B.) LECTURERS L AND 2 IN COMPUTER SCIENCE AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
REQUIREMENTS

7.) DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES AND LABOUR MANAGEMENT
A.) SENIOR LECTURER/PROFESSOR IN HUMAN RESOURCES AND LABOUR MANAGEMENT
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate will have at least 10 – 20 years teaching experience in a reputable university. Candidate must have PhD in a relevant discipline. Experience in and familiarity with American educational curricula is an advantage but not a prerequisite.

B.) LECTURERS 1 AND 2 IN HUMAN RESOURCES AND LABOUR MANAGEMENT
REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of MSc or its equivalent in the relevant subjects and must have at least 5 years teaching experience in a reputable university.

C.) ASSISTANCE LECTURER IN HUMAN RESOURCES AND LABOUR MANAGEMENT
